Minto Communications Society is a non-profit, community owned and operated organization providing quality high speed internet services to the people of the Upper Bridge River Valley since 2008.
Core Values
Our core values are to support economic development, social networking, and educational opportunities in the Upper Bridge River Valley. We believe quality high speed internet services significantly enhances the quality of life for residents and businesses in the valley by providing access to the online opportunities available through the internet.
Society Goals
To provide quality high speed wireless internet servicing the communities of Tyaughton Lake, Gun Creek Road, Gun Lake, Lajoie Lake, Gold Bridge and Bralorne.
Society Directors
Robert Calbick
Bob is a long-time property owner at Gun Lake, and is a recently retired CPA after spending over 30 years in the telecommunications industry with TELUS. Bob has significant experience linking both communications technology, and business sides of telecommunications operations, and has a keen interest in evolving telecommunications technology.
Marilyn Hampton
Marilyn is a part time resident of Gun Lake who is passionate about the internet and communication in the valley. Marilyn is a recently retired CPA who worked most of her career at TELUS, and brings over 30 years of experience in financial planning and analysis.
Edward Nightingale
Ed is a retired TELUS worker with 37 1/2 years, in various positions. Ed has owned property on Gun Lake since 1978. He and his wife are planning to make Gun lake their semi permanent home.
Randy Perazzo
Randy is a retired construction Project Management Professional and red seal master electrician. Randy is a lifelong visitor to the valley, has been a property owner at Gunn Lake since 1968, and currently is a resident at Gunn Lake, Randy recently joined the Minto brings over 30 years of construction management experience to the board.
NETWORK MANAGER
Michelle Nortje
Michelle served as a Director on the MCS board for 3 years before becoming the Network Manager in 2011. Michelle is an active community member and also works from home doing web design.
